As the leading ZK Layer 1 chain for on-chain privacy, Manta Network has been diligently building a strong ecosystem and adding to a suite of tools to offer user-friendly experiences that advance Web3 privacy. We are proud to begin the next chapter of privacy-enhanced products and services focused on identity through SBTs and NFTs. This week, the community can expect the release of several new products and services directed toward that goal:

  1. Manta Wallet Extension
  2. NPO (NFT Private Offering) Platform and Proof Keys
  3. The First zkSBT Collection

Furthermore, we will launch several incentive programs to encourage early adoption. We will provide updates throughout the week on the releases and events through our channels, including Twitter and Discord.

Manta Wallet Extension

The Manta Wallet Extension is an easy-to-use browser extension that preserves sensitive information about the user’s on-chain transaction activity. Building zero-knowledge proofs allows the user to send and receive private ZK assets such as zkSBTs and zkNFTs, to zkAddresses.

A direct upgrade over its predecessor Manta Signer, the Manta Wallet Extension allows for a more intuitive experience at every step of the process when facilitating private on-chain transactions. It can be downloaded directly from the Chrome Web Store later this week, and can be easily accessed like any other browser extension. This lowers the barrier to entry for adoption of the tool needed to safeguard privacy in Web3. A critical step moving forward, we are excited about the prospects of empowering the current and future Web3 users who can verify their on-chain transactions while concealing their private information.

NPO (NFT Public Offering) Platform and Proof Keys

The Manta NPO (NFT Private Offering) platform is an NFT (and SBT) launchpad that utilizes zero-knowledge technology to focus on privacy preservation. Minting zkNFTs and zkSBTs via the NPO platform allows users to conduct the transaction privately, as the tokens are minted on their zkAddress, while the gas fees are deducted from their public address. This ensures that the publicly visible assets on their public addresses cannot be traced to their newly minted zkNFTs and zkSBTs, effectively protecting the sensitive details of the user’s on-chain activity.

In addition to privacy preservation, the NPO platform is also designed to be user friendly for both Web3 and traditional Web2 participants, paving the way for mass adoption of zk technology. Deploying zkSBTs on Manta does not require deep technical expertise of cryptography, making it accessible for all developers for a wide variety of use cases.

We are especially keen on the potential synergy with zkSBTs, which we strongly believe will serve as on-chain identity verification in the near future. One particularly notable use case involves using Proof Keys to verify zkSBTs without the need to connect wallets. The combination of using zkSBTs to verify on-chain identity and lack of need for a wallet, is a groundbreaking advancement in bridging the gap to Web2. The user can reap the benefits of blockchain technology’s trust and consensus, while empowering on-chain privacy-preservation and facilitating a frictionless, wallet-less user experience.

Alongside the launch of the NPO, the first set of zkSBTs will be launched specifically around empowering user identity while preserving the safety and privacy of their information. This collection is the result of the culmination of development that Manta has engaged in since inception, as it directly utilizes all the tools in our ecosystem to bring privacy preservation to the on-chain identity verification process.
