Equilibrium And Manta Network Partner To Build A Privacy-Protecting Open Standard for Fungible Tokens

Manta Network is proud to announce our partnership with Equilibrium. Equilibrium offers a cross-chain money market that combines pooled lending with synthetic asset generation and trading. Equilibrium will bring in its technical expertise to advise Manta on an open standard for fungible tokens with the potential for privacy-preservation leveraging zero-knowledge-proof technology. The partnership will also facilitate collaborative research aimed at improving interoperability among Polkadot parachains, and the security of decentralized exchanges.

“The work we’re doing with Equilibrium will be critical to our success,” said Victor Ji, co-founder of Manta Network. “What we’re working on together will have a large and positive impact on the Polkadot ecosystem, and the future of DeFi.”

“We’ve been building decentralized applications since 2017 and have been focused on developing on the substrate stack for more than one year,” said Equilibrium CEO Alex Melikhov. “We’re in a strong position to provide substantive advice based on our experience building for Polkadot, and can provide feedback on how developments here can be useful for the overall DeFi space.”

Manta Network is building the first interoperable and privacy-preserving DeFi stack. It uses zk-SNARK and will become a Polkadot parachain to provide complete end-to-end privacy, high throughput, and cross-chain interoperability. Services include a decentralized privacy payment protocol as well as a decentralized privacy token exchange protocol.

Equilibrium is the first decentralized cross-chain money market that combines pooled lending with synthetic asset generation and trading. Equilibrium is set to open up the vast potential of the DeFi market and become its #1 app by offering exceptional services to the users of major crypto assets that were previously isolated.
